Ingredients

For the beef patties:

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Oil for frying

For the special sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For the toppings:

  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 4 lettuce leaves

Instructions

Step 1: Make the beef patties

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated. Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape each portion into a patty.

Step 2: Fry the beef patties

Heat some oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the beef patties and fry for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and browned on the outside. Remove the patties from the pan and set them aside.

Step 3: Make the special sauce

In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, honey, and garlic powder. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 4: Fry the eggs

In the same frying pan used to cook the beef patties, crack the eggs and fry them over medium heat until the whites are set and the yolks are still runny.

Step 5: Assemble the burgers

To assemble the burgers, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly. Spread some of the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Add a lettuce leaf, a beef patty, a slice of cheese, some sliced onion and cucumber, and a fried egg on top of each patty. Spread some more of the special sauce on the top half of each bun and place it on top of the burger.
